# Make your first request

Create an API key, export it locally and request three current jobs.

## 1. Create a key

Open the [Developer Console](https://luranta.com/developers), select a workspace and create a key with the `jobs:read` scope. The secret is shown once.

## 2. Set the environment variable

Store the key in your server-side secret manager. For a local shell:

```shell
export LURANTA_API_KEY="lur_..."
```

## 3. List jobs

### cURL

```shell
curl "https://api.luranta.com/v0/jobs?roles=software-engineering&limit=3" \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $LURANTA_API_KEY" \
  --header "Accept: application/json"
```

### TypeScript

```ts
import { Luranta } from "@luranta/sdk"
const luranta = new Luranta({
  apiKey: process.env.LURANTA_API_KEY!,
})
const page = await luranta.jobs.list({
  roles: ["software-engineering"],
  limit: 3,
})
for (const job of page.data) {
  console.log(job.title)
}
```

### Python

```python
import os
from luranta import Luranta
luranta = Luranta(api_key=os.environ["LURANTA_API_KEY"])
page = luranta.jobs.list({
    "roles": ["software-engineering"],
    "limit": 3,
})
for job in page.data:
    print(job.title)
```
